從3月份起，埃及進口商僅可使用信用證進口商品，并指示銀行停止處理出口商托收單據。甚至已有埃及客戶要求正在出貨的訂單，提單日期改到2月12日之前，要不然需要船公司出證明文件。

From March, Egyptian importers can only import goods using letters of credit, and banks are instructed to stop processing exporters' collection documents. It even requires Egyptian customers who have orders to be shipped to change the date of the bill of lading to before February 12, otherwise the shipping company needs to issue a certificate.

據悉，此舉是為了方便埃及政府加強進口監管，減少對外匯供應的依賴。

It is reported that the move is to facilitate the Egyptian government to strengthen import supervision and reduce its dependence on foreign exchange supply.
    2月17日，埃及央行又放寬了部分限制，將小麥、玉米、豆類、家禽、奶粉、化學品和藥品等必需品排除在新支付規則適用的進口商品清單之外。

On February 17, Egypt's central bank eased some of the restrictions again, excluding essential goods such as wheat, corn, beans, poultry, milk powder, chemicals and medicines from the list of imported goods to which the new payment rules apply.
